Acceptable Use Policy
Effective date: 2026-08-06
This policy is part of the Terms of Service. It applies to everything you do on Nodeboard, including anything done under your account by your team, by API clients you authorise, and by agents you connect over REST, MCP or the CLI.
Two things are worth saying before the list. First, most of what you generate is produced by a third-party AI provider under your own account — so their policies apply to you as well as ours, and we cannot waive them. Second, this policy exists to keep the Service usable and lawful, not to police taste.
You must not
Harm people through generated media.
- Generate sexual material involving minors, in any form, real or synthetic. This is an immediate and permanent termination, and we report it where the law requires.
- Depict a real, identifiable person in sexual, intimate or degrading situations without their consent.
- Create deepfakes or other synthetic media that impersonate a real person or organisation in order to deceive — including fabricated statements, endorsements, or events presented as real.
- Generate content that harasses, threatens, or incites violence against a person or group.
Break the law or other people's rights.
- Upload or generate material that infringes copyright, trademark, publicity or privacy rights.
- Upload personal data you have no lawful basis to process.
- Use the Service for anything unlawful where you are, or where the effects are felt.
Impersonate.
- Present yourself as someone else, or as affiliated with an organisation you have no connection to, whether in your account details or in what you publish from it.
Abuse the platform.
- Circumvent authentication, rate limits, quotas, or access controls, or attempt to reach data belonging to other users.
- Probe, scan or load-test the Service without our written permission.
- Resell access to the Service, or provide automated access to it beyond the documented REST, MCP and CLI surfaces.
- Use the Service to route requests around an AI provider's own content policy, or to disguise the origin of a request from that provider.
- Upload malware, or use the Service to distribute it.
Automated and agent-initiated runs
Batch nodes, scheduled workflows, connected agents and the CLI can start a large number of generations quickly. Those runs are billed to your provider account and remain your responsibility, whatever started them. Set spending limits inside your provider account before you let anything run unattended.
What happens if you break this policy
Depending on what happened, we may remove content, restrict a feature, suspend your account, or terminate it. Where it is reasonably possible we will tell you first and give you a chance to put things right; for material involving minors, and for anything that puts the Service or other users at immediate risk, we act first.
